Marina's Notes:
I usually write songs starting with the
melody.. But that day I was sitting by my piano and started playing to a built-in drum
loop. It was so cool because I'd never done this before. Within an hour I was completely
done with the music and called Nick to see if he'd like to help me work on the lyrics. I
had a few ideas, but originally we called this song "Breaking My Dream". About 3
or 4 days later we changed it to "killing". This song is about being hurt and
feeling alone but having to pretend you're OK because you are too proud to let your
feelings show.
As always, based on a true story.
