Marina's Notes:
It was middle of July in Los Angeles and I was sitting by the swimming pool looking at the blue sky. For some reason my thoughts took a turn and I found myself missing the snow & magical Russian winters. All of a sudden I had this emotional surge & had to run to the piano. I wrote most of the music for the song. Later that day I told Nick that I wanted to finish writing my winter song, and we came up with lyrics pretty quickly. As a kid, you always think that people you love will always be near, but life doesn't always work out that way. This song is about wishing to be with your loved ones on a special winter holiday, whatever it may be.
