Todd Mitchell (March 2007)

My name is Todd Mitchell, I live in Las Vegas, I met Marina in Jan,2004 in Borders Books & Music and have been a devoted Marinaholic ever since. In addition to loving Marina's music, I also love animals, reading, and sports. And I try to recycle as often as possible, thanks to Marina for the inspiration. Also, I'm a language major at the local community college as I hope to someday be a translator who is fluent in both Russian and Spanish.

Amber B.

My name is Amber, but Im also known as Amster. Im 12 years old and live in a small town near Salem, Oregon. During my free time, I enjoy theater, reading, writing, participating in Choir, trying to sing-a-long with Phantom of the Opera, kayaking, and listening to music.

One day, when I came home from school, my brother (Larry) was going on about Marina V, a great pianist and singer, and lent me his copy of Something of My Own to listen to. The instant I heard it, I fell in love with the beauty and sound of it. Larry gave me Simple Magic and Something of My Own for my birthday a couple of weeks later. Rarely have the CDs left my CD player. Soon (well, hopefully!!!), Ill be able to drop by one of Marinas performances and finally get to see her perform!"

Enia C.
My name is Enia, I was born in Colombia, South America and immigrated to the U.S. with my mom and two sisters when I was 10 years old. I live in Mission Viejo with my two teen daughters, Rachele, who is on her way to Cal Poly SLO and Andrea, a sophomore at Tesoro who is a devoted basketball player.

I met Marina and Nick at the Mission Viejo Borders and instantly fell in love with Marina’s beautiful voice and the lyrics to her and Nick’s music. At the time I was heading a committee for a carnival fundraiser at Tesoro for girls’ basketball and it occurred to me that Marina may be willing to come perform. I approached Nick with the idea and was so impressed with how kind and open he and Marina were. Marina performed at our carnival in June and all who attended were as impressed by her as I am. Our head basketball coach and her fiancé asked Marina to perform “Underneath Your Sky” at their upcoming wedding in August. My friends and family are always eager to go with me to see Marina perform whenever possible. Late in June my sister Kat and I were rear ended on the freeway on our way to Hollywood to see Marina at the Hotel Café. We were majorly bummed that we were not able to attend the concert due to our injuries but we listened to her CDs all the way back home.

Marina’s music appeals to everyone, from my 5 year old niece, 9 year old nephew and 15 and 17 year old daughters to all the adults in our family. Marina’s music is now regularly featured in our teens’ iPods, our family’s and friends’ homes, cars, and in even my co-workers’ offices. Marina, we love you (and Nick too)! You are truly a gifted performer and beautiful inside and out!

Mike H.

I was born in Manhattan and lived there until I was 6. Since then, I've lived in Philly, NJ, Puerto Rico, Las Vegas, Ohio, El Paso, a few cities in Mexico, and a few cities in San Diego County. I am currently a barrista at Starbucks and love working there. In my spare time, I like to play my guitar, sing, exercise, read, see Marina and Nick perform, and have long, drawn out conversations with friends about nothing over coffee.

I first saw Marina and Nick perform at the Border's Book store in Downtown, San Diego in 2004. I have followed them ever since. They are warm-hearted and talented which makes it such a pleasure to support them any little way I can.

Hey everybody, I've been a Los Angeles resident all my life (except when I'm in Yosemite National Park for about 2 months out of every year just playing around). I'm divorced with 3 awesome kids and I tune pianos for a living. Go find out more about me on my website if you want: www.DougFreeze.com

I met Marina & Nick at a Borders book store when they were performing there one night in August of 2003. I just stood in the background in awe of this girl's voice and talent and I've been trying to support her all I can since then. I can't wait to see them again at their next performance, if you see me, come up and say Hi.
Love you guys,

I'm 19yrs old, full time worker (borders books and i work in the cafe),full time student, full time family caretaker, and full time girlfriend.  I spend most of my free time (which amounts to very little) listening to music, playing music (i play the clarinet, haven't had very much time to play lately though ^.^ ), chatting, playing video/computer games, and spending lots of time with Robert.  I still do have my poem sites...the one depressing one and one happy one here are the links 1.) Steve L. (aka bluesman)

Steve L. (aka bluesman)

Hello my fellow komrades, my name is Steve but on Marinas site my screen name is Bluesman. I met Marina at a Jewel show and since we pretty much sat together she asked me if I'd take a picture of her and Jewel together. I said yes and where should I send the pictures to?  Well, that was the beginning of a great relationship. I hadn't even heard her music yet but, she did give me a press kit so, when I got home I listened to it. I've been a musician all my life and I'm 51 yrs. old now so.....I guess you might say I know a little about music and I thought the compositions were great, her singing sweet and her playing? Well, let's just say I knew somewhere along the way she had gotten some classical training! So, I took some friends up to Kulaks Woodshed to hear her live for the first time. Since that meeting I feel we've had a mutually benefitting relationship. I started Oceanside Talent for the sole purpose of taking on a handful of artists because I felt there was a need for more of a personal touch or personal relationship between the agent, the artist and the venue. Too many agencies just sit behind a desk make their calls book their dates and that's it. Marina was my very first attempt at booking and now, I have a couple national acts and a regional act that I book club dates and tours for. In addition to booking I'm also managing one of them. I'm going to Europe for my first time on one of the tours and I'm so excited. I also handle all of the press and radio for the group that I manage. This has been a really great experience for me and I've really learned alot about the work that goes on behind the scenes. I feel truly blessed to call Marina and Nick my friends and grateful to them for playing such a part in me doing what I love doing.

[Kristi has an awesome website! She has made many beautiful "wallpapers" (for computer) for Beth Hart and for Marina].

Susan H.

Susan was raised in New Jersey and prides herself on being a Jersey Girl, even though she's lived in LA for 10 years. She spent the last seven years working for director Michael Mann, the highlight of which was spent traveling to Mozambique, Africa for five weeks. She currently works as a script coordinator for the TV series "NCIS." In her spare time, she collects vintage toys, has a unique appreciation (some call it an obsession) for "The Brady Bunch," and hangs out with friends and her beloved cat, Kelsey, and tries to fit in yoga as often as possible. I am more of a behind-the-scenes person and try to stay away from the spotlight. I have really enjoyed helping spread the word about Marina because I want other people to discover the way Marina's beautiful music & stories move one's soul. The way they move mine. In this day and age it is rare to find someone this honest and passionate about what they do. I know Marina's career will take off soon and I would like to say that I was there from the very beginning.
My hobbies are listening to good music and watching movies. I also enjoy watching the Travel Channel.
